When The Empire Strikes Back™ reached Japanese cinemas, it did so with artwork all its own. Darth Vader’s helmet hangs against a field of stars, a fleet of ships advancing beneath him, all set under bold crimson Japanese lettering. It is one of the most striking pieces of Star Wars™ poster art ever produced, and this release brings it to precious metal for the first time.

The poster is reproduced in full colour with proof detailing on a 20 g silver foil measuring 175 x 262 mm, large enough to read like a framed print rather than a coin. Flip it over, and the reverse switches to a frosted finish, carrying the Star Wars™ logo above a line in Japanese, ‘フォースと共にあれ’ (Fōsu to tomo ni are), meaning “May the Force be with you.”
