The Perth Mint’s Wonders of Australia series celebrates this extraordinary natural heritage, and The Outback brings it to life in 9999 pure silver.

Designed by Jennifer McKenna, the reverse is a richly detailed montage of outback life. Emus stride across the midground, a wedge-tailed eagle soars overhead, a dingo watches from the shadows, kangaroos gather near a tranquil watering hole, and a frilled-neck lizard commands the foreground, all set amongst the characteristic flora and striking sandstone formations of the Australian interior. A radiant rising sun stretches across the horizon, capturing the warmth and vastness that define the outback at its most iconic. The Perth Mint’s “P” mintmark and the 2026 year-date complete the composition.

The obverse bears the Dan Thorne effigy of His Majesty King Charles III, along with the coin’s weight, purity, and face value of $1 AUD, encircled by a rich decorative border of coral and flora that reflects the broader Wonders of Australia series aesthetic.

For additional authenticity, a micro-engraved security letter is incorporated into the reverse design, detectable under a magnifying glass and designed to make the coin significantly more difficult to counterfeit.

Available worldwide and limited to a maximum mintage of 75,000, the 2026 Outback silver bullion coin offers an accessible entry point into the Wonders of Australia series, sharing the same design as the gold edition at a fraction of the price, and backed by the same Perth Mint quality and guarantee.
