Australia’s outback spans a continent of 7.68 million square kilometres, encompassing deep canyons, arid desert, ancient sandstone formations and a landscape that is home to between 600,000 and 700,000 species of wildlife, the vast majority found nowhere else on the planet. McKenna’s reverse design brings this extraordinary world to life in remarkable detail. Emus stride across the midground, a wedge-tailed eagle soars overhead, a dingo watches from the shadows, kangaroos gather near a tranquil watering hole, and a frilled-neck lizard commands the foreground — all set amongst characteristic outback flora and striking sandstone terrain. A radiant rising sun stretches across the horizon, completing a composition that is as geographically authentic as it is artistically compelling.
