Description
PAMP’s Nature’s Grip series has spent four years finding animals whose entire survival strategy comes down to one thing – not letting go. It opened in 2023 with the Sunbeam Snake, moved to the powerful coils of the 2024 Green Anaconda, then shifted to the ocean with 2025’s Giant Octopus and its grasping arms. The Nile Crocodile brings that theme to its most brutal conclusion, and closes the series for good.
Where the earlier releases relied on coiling and gripping, the crocodile’s design breaks the format entirely. Its jaws and body cross over the bar’s own rectangular border mid strike, colorised in lifelike detail, while the outer edge is worked into an uneven, ridged texture that reads more like reptile hide than metal. It’s a coin that resists sitting flat in a case; it wants to look like it’s still moving. Weight comes in at a full troy ounce of .9999 fine silver, finished proof-like with selective colour.
Turn it over and the tone shifts to formal record keeping: Niue’s Public Seal, the $2 face value, 2026 date, weight and purity, and a laser engraved serial number unique to that individual bar. Only 3,500 were struck, making this the final chapter for a series collectors have followed since 2023.
Each one leaves the mint sealed inside a CertiPAMP assay card, its front printed with crocodile artwork and its back carrying the matching serial number and inspection details signed off by PAMP’s assay master, so provenance travels with the piece rather than being taken on faith.
Key features:
- Closing release in PAMP’s Nature’s Grip series
- 1 troy oz (31.1 g) .9999 fine silver, proof-like finish with selective colorization
- Sculpted crocodile design extends past the bar’s rectangular edge; outer rim shaped to an uneven, hide-like texture
- Reverse carries Niue’s Public Seal, $2 NZD face value, 2026 date, weight, purity and a laser engraved serial number
- Limited mintage of 3,500 worldwide
- Sealed in a CertiPAMP assay card with matching serial number and assay master verification
- Minted by MKS PAMP (PAMP Suisse); Niue legal tender
